Welcome to Aldercrest German Shepherds located in Upper Rawdon, Nova Scotia. My dogs are a part of my family and my puppies are raised in a family environment. Puppies are socialized with children and other animals. My dogs live in the house with me and enjoy being apart of my everyday life.

I have been involved with dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs who were my best friends and loving companions. My love of dogs is deeply rooted, through generations of raising the numerous dogs we lived with.

My first dogs were a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever named Keji and a Lab mix named Ranger. However, my passion has always been the German Shepherd Dog. So when I was finished having my family, which consists of four children, I knew it was time to pursue my  dream....and Aldercrest was born.

My goal is to produce German Shepherd Dogs that are sound in mind as well as in body. The dogs I like to have represent the breed must be of very sound temperament. This is extremely important to me.

My commitment is to breed to the standard and to strive to better the German Shepherd Dog in temperament and health, as well as in movement and structure. I remain committed to my goals by carefully researching the lines, or combination of lines, behind every breeding and by growing out and carefully observing selected puppies from my litters. I am determined to breed away from the faults, temperament and health issues, as well as the structural defects that have plagued this breed in the past.

I carefully select and screen my puppy buyers and I am always available to offer help and support to those new love and commitment to my puppies does not stop at the door. I stand behind my dogs 100%!
Joining me in my passion is my youngest daughter Nicole with her breed of choice the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Nicole shows a passion for her breed that makes me feel honoured to help her, along with her mentor, foster her love of the breed.
